Upcoming Premiers and Performances

Nathan Jones is published by GIA Publications and G. Schirmer/Hal Leonard. His music is performed throughout the United States, South Korea and Taiwan. His piece for choir, I would live in your love, has been recorded by the Westminster Choir with Dr. Joe Miller and is commercially available.

A graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Nathan holds a Master of Music degree in Theory and Composition. At Westminster, he sang in both the Symphonic Choir and Westminster Choir. During his undergraduate degree program at Oklahoma State University, Nathan participated in several ensembles including the Chamber Choir, Concert Chorale, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Ensembles. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree concentrating in instrumental education with an emphasis in percussion and piano in 2007.

Nathan and his wife Rebecca enjoy cooking, hiking and fishing together in their spare time. He is a native of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

 

March 13
Southern ACDA Conference Convention - Memphis, TN
Conductor Ryan Marsh and the LaFayette Madrigal Singers will premier the piece Newlyweds. Ryan's choir was selected as the High School Honor Choir.

April 22
University of Central Arkansas - Conway, AR
Steven Smyth and the University of Central Arkansas Symphonic Band will premier I would live in your love, transcription for wind ensemble. Nathan was commissioned to transcribe his popular choral piece for wind ensemble, making it the first major instrumental work in his portfolio.

April 23 & 24
DeSales University - Center Valley, PA
The DeSales University Choirs will be premiering the pieces Brave New World & Everything Waiting There. The groups are conducted by J. Bennett Durham.

June 5 & 10
Cathedral Church of St. Luke and St. Paul - Charleston, SC
Westminster Choir, conducted by Dr. Joe Miller will perform the piece Newlyweds. This piece is a special collaboration between Nathan and Marjory Wentworth, the Poet Laureate of South Carolina. For tickets, please click here.
